Back Ontrack?

It took one semester to overcome the problems that started with (yet another)
hard disk crash that had wiped out most of my source code while a visit by
friends from my home country retarded the development of new code. |
Not all issues have been solved yet, and lots more programming needs to
be done, but we have once more the basic tools in place to revive our
web service. Wish me success... |

Planning to spend your holidays
in Cambodia? Are you looking for travel information?
"Angkor
Wat" is Cambodia's main tourist attraction. In the dry season, thousands of
tourists are dropped daily at Siem Reap's
international airport for the sole purpose of a one-day visit to Angkor Wat.
Angkor Wat is just one temple in an ancient Khmer capital that has been
abandoned to the jungle. So, there's much more to see than Angkor Wat at Angkor.
There's Angkor city:
a complex of cities that expanded as the Khmer empire rose to the zenith of its
power. |
- This
section shows you around in the unknown and enchanting Cambodia.
Where to go and where to stay away on your next vacation, all is made clear to you. Plenty
of historical and cultural background is provided. The
section is full of tourist advice
to make your visit to our country a guaranteed success. There is
also a summary of all towns of some importance in our
chapter Towns and Cities including Batambang
, Cambodia's second largest city and Sihanoukville
, the country's popular beach destination.
- Going to Angkor? We brought all the information
together in one section with suggestions for one-day, two-days and
three-days visits. A visit to the world heritage site of
Angkor Wat and surrounding temples and monuments is indispensable
for first-time visitors.
|
- Keep in
mind that there is more to see and experience in Cambodia than
Angkor. We are compiling all this fascinating information in our
section Temples and Sites
and
update it frequently.
- After the
thorough destruction of the country, Cambodians still need aid, now
that the international community has shifted its attention to more
recent disasters. We provide you some
suggestions to make your contribution reach the most destitute
and the neediest.

Cambodia's so-called 100% Condom Use campaign is being
threatened by legal and financial issues, and the country could experience a
resurgence of the disease, a health official said on Wednesday.
According to Tia Phalla of Cambodia's National AIDS Authority,
the condom campaign -- which provides sex education and condoms to commercial
sex workers -- is "facing difficulties" because of a new law against sex
trafficking and inadequate financial support. Following the passage of the law
in February, police began targeting brothels, which reportedly has forced sex
workers to leave condoms as they move from location to location.

Cambodian garment factory workers to quit and look for better-paying jobs or
return to the countryside, union leaders said Wednesday.

Of all the unfinished business of his presidency, the hunt for
Osama bin Laden may be the most vexing for President Bush.
Mr. bin Laden’s whereabouts, and why he has not been captured
"dead or alive,” as Mr. Bush vowed just days after Sept. 11, 2001, invariably
come up in Washington conversation this time of year, as the nation marks the
anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Now, with Mr. Bush just having
commemorated his final Sept. 11 as president on Thursday, the question looms
larger than ever. |
