| Thirty-eight kilometres east of the provincial
town of Kampot is Phnom Kampong Trach, a rocky mountain with few
plants. At the foot of the mountain is a number of small mountain
wells, used for worship, not only by Cambodian people, but by Chinese
and Vietnamese as well. |
One of the wells is 30 metres in diameter and its soil
is in seven different colours. Several smaller wells have artistic stones
that look like animals and other objects. From the large well, there is a
cave way to Viel Sre Muoy Roy and the Thma Dos
wells. |
