Prek Leap restaurants
On the other side of the Chroy Chong Va bridge
(better known as the Japanese bridge because it was built with Japanese
funding and technical support), restaurants and night clubs used to line up, serving mostly Khmer
and Chinese food. Some also present popular variety shows with locally famous
artists such as Preap Sovat and others.
This is no longer so. A few are left, but the stretch of road is
getting a different character. The action has moved to other parts of the
city. And what concerns Preap Sovat, the talented Cambodian pop
singer, I have no idea where he now performs, assuming he does still
perform.
