Born in 1981 in Ksach
Kadal in Kandal Province, Vanneth was the third child in his family. In
1985, he joined Khor Oukgnatey primary school. In 1990, he enlisted in
Brek
Leong secondary school. He stayed with his parents who gave him full
support. In his free time, he helped his family with farming and worked on
the fields. In 1997, he studied at the Hun Sen High School and had to leave his family. He hired a room which he shared
with some friends. Most weekends, he went to visit his parents who he missed
very much, especially as he was quite often short of money for food. In
2000, he passed his final exams and graduated from high school.
His friends notified him of a school where free
education was provided and he decided to apply for that school. He studied
during 2 years at the technical school and graduated in 2003.
When he finished his studies, his older brother
Vanney suggested him to become a taxi driver, so he decided to work first
part-time for Taxi Vantha.
He is now happily employed with Taxi Vantha, a job
which allows him to compensate his parents for the restraints his education
put on them. |
